BUILDING MOMENTUM TOWARDS PSLE ENGLISH

From Primary 3 to 4, the English curriculum jumps a gear in level of difficulty. Students must master grammar rules, vocabulary and develop the skills required to tackle composition and comprehension at PSLE level. At this stage, it is critical to prepare students for the increased demands of English at Primary 5 and 6.

Along with components of writing, comprehension, vocabulary and grammar closely tied in to the MOE syllabus, your child will be equipped with the following skill sets:

• Introduction of result-focused, exam-smart strategies
• Building on critical thinking and answering skills for comprehension
• Expansion of vocabulary (spoken and written)
• Mastery of essential grammar rules
• Expansion of vocabulary (spoken and written)
• Exposure to general knowledge and current affairs that will give them an edge in the exams
• Coverage on Paper 1, 2 and 4 (comprehension, composition, grammar, vocabulary, oral)
